Walking into BeJeweled in Hilltop North Shopping Center feels like the doors have swung open to reveal all the treasures Harrison Ford found as Indiana Jones in The Raiders of the Lost Ark movie. BeJeweled owners Russell and Leslie Levine believe that everyone deserves to “be jeweled” with fine quality jewelry that is real and affordable. That’s what they do best… for over 25 years now. They love what they do and offer a large selection of artists within the United States as well as from around the world.
Russell was the boy who grew up surrounded by the magic of his family’s stores, playing with fossils and rocks. His mother made handmade candles and his father manufactured jewelry. He met and fell in love with his wife Leslie, who as an artist fell in love with the jewelry business back in 1995 while getting her degree in Fine Art. The couple opened BeJeweled in 2002 in Norfolk, Virginia to offer to customers what they love with exceptional customer service. Since then they closed the store in Norfolk to open their large store in Virginia Beach and launched their online shop in 2015.
There is always a lot of love at BeJeweled because it is their wish that you find a treasure that you will love and will want to wear for a lifetime. What Russell and Leslie offer is alternative jewelry that is both handmade and unique, not the traditional jewelry store with pieces that are mass-produced.
Their current featured jewelry collections include: Pearl Jewelry, Fossil Ivory Collection, Just Silver Collection, Jewels and Crystal and Southwestern Jewelry.
Not only do they have an abundance of beautiful jewelry, but BeJeweled also features art glasswork as well. This extensive collection features art from: Abelman Art Glass, Blenko Glass, Callahan Mountain Studio, Glass Eye Studio, Hudson Glass, Kiln Art, Michael Hopko, My Wildest Dreams Studio, Opal Art, Rosetree Glass and Furnace Glassworks. Their collection of art glass jewelry features American artists. Each piece is unique, especially the dichroic glass pieces. Handmade with glass that is colored with different metals and metal oxides, these jewelry designs are true artistry.
