You’ve said YES! So now what?
The date, the venue, what will you wear, where will you party? There are so many things to know and plan. Where do you even begin? This is the reason why the first official Wedding Showcase of the New Year is where you should be. Sunday, January 12th, at Norfolk Scope all the festivities begin.
The Uniquely Yours Bridal Showcase presented by Astro Entertainment will open at 11am for a wonderful five hours of fashion, food and fun! Last year’s show had over 1,700 guests, approximately 800 of those were brides. With the exciting partnership with Astro Entertainment many more attendees are anticipated this year. Every year a special part of the fashion show is dedicated to breast cancer survivors, with a portion of the entrance fees donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. To date, they have donated more than $45,000 to the organization.
The Uniquely Yours Bridal Showcase presented by Astro Entertainment willfeature more than 140 vendors, making it the largest and most anticipated bridal and vendor event in the state. This year’s show will be the 12th year which makes it the best place to start your planning. Vendors will be coming from all over Virginia and North Carolina to help with your wedding needs. Uniquely Yours strives to bring all of the wedding essentials together to make the couples’ wedding fabulous, memorable, and easy to plan! Their Showcase features the most professional vendors in the wedding industry. Everything from venues, cuisine, entertainment, photography, videography and fashion will enhance your bridal experience! The on-site bridal gown Pop Up Shop is where you can buy the dress of your dreams.
This year’s theme is “From Here to Heaven” and will be carried throughout the entire showcase. The bridal fashion show will energize and inspire couples with all the elements needed for their wedding day and honeymoon. The fashion show will have the most gorgeous gowns and the latest fashions for bridesmaids, men’s wear and mothers in an elaborate setting in the middle of the Exhibition Hall. This allows you to actually see the outfits up close and get a real idea of what you really want for yourself and your bridal party.
Not sure what you and your guests will want to eat or drink? Come hungry and be prepared to taste the best of the best. The catering companies and bakeries will be ready with their delicious displays and goodies to share. There will be mini receptions set up and a pop-up bridal shop where you will be able to “say yes to the dress” and take it home that day. Need a honeymoon trip? They have that detail covered too and one couple will even win a 3 night 4 day honeymoon to the Sandals Ochi Jamaican Resort. This prize also includes airfare provided by Travel Pros. Here’s a tip. Many of the vendors will have mailing lists and drawings for prizes. Before you come, make mailing labels preprinted with your name, phone number, address and wedding date. This way you can just place the sticker on the form versus filling out paperwork at each vendor. This helps you move faster to the next samples and see all the show has to offer.
